Album Premiere: ZEALOTRY's 'At The Nexus of All Stillborn Worlds'

Dead Rhetoric has premiered At The Nexus of All Stillborn Worlds, the forthcoming album from Boston-based progressive death metallers ZEALOTRY.

Stream At The Nexus of All Stillborn Worlds

Two years after their last full-length, ZEALOTRY are back with their newest offering (and first with Unspeakable Axe Records), titled At the Nexus of All Stillborn Worlds. The album will be released on December 7. Pre-order the album on compact disc and cassette.

This is progressive death metal at its most uncompromising; dense with intricate riffs, elaborate bass lines, mind-melting lead guitar work and more. Clean choral vocals add a Timeghoul-ish aspect to certain songs; in other places, bewildering effects occasionally will warp a track into an aural acid trip. Elaborate structures occasionally peel back to reveal a Chasm-inspired melodic development.

Featuring a member of Chthe'ilist and influenced by a broad palette of death metal explorers including At the Gates, Obliveon, Brutality, and Atheist, At the Nexus of Stillborn Worlds is a dizzying new peak in ZEALOTRY's 13-year history. Experience eight tracks and nearly 43 minutes of some of the most dense and rewarding music death metal has to offer, on CD, cassette and digital platforms from Unspeakable Axe Records. Look for pre-orders to be available next week.

"The Boston-based group have mastered the art of crafting dense, mind-bending progressive death metal."
- Decibel

"At the Nexus of All Stillborn Worlds does nothing to diminish their reputation as death metal riff lords. In fact, it instead serves as the vehicle for the band's most cohesive and intricate songwriting and musicianship yet."

- Heavy Blog is Heavy

"Far from a typical death metal release. Progressive death metal with a lot of intricate touches, including the lavish bass playing, murky yet hard-hitting riffs, subtle melodic tones, and some occasionally trippy vibes all swirl together to craft an experience with some immediate gratification but grows stronger with each listen."

- Dead Rhetoric

"One of the top bands playing forward-thinking dissonant Death Metal out there."

- Metal-Temple

"At the Nexus of All Stillborn Worlds' is an album that will dazzle, confound and awaken you to the possibilities of what musical instruments can actually achieve. Then it'll smash your fucking face in while you're too busy being perplexed."

- The Killchain

"Serious speed changes, doom riffs, synths with hell-like and hymn-style atmospheric tunes that send shivers down your spine. Zealotry here show that Death Metal can be technically superb."

- Planet Mosh

"There are several ways to explore the progressive facet of one of the most extreme styles in the Metal scene and ZEALOTRY chose to follow the path that filters the best that can be found in technique, dexterity and imagination."

- Morde Essa Bolacha Zine

"I can recommend it to those who love intricate technical death metal because Zealotry's skills and ideas are not lacking."

- Death Magnetic

"If you like Death with progressive air, do not miss this album."

- Necromance Zine
