MANIFESTO
Heavy Metal Maniac Webzine nasce dalla passione di alcuni ragazzi che, un bel giorno del 2007, creano un forum. Da questa "base" pian piano viene sempre più forte la volontà di allargare la propria passione e preparazione, ed è così che molto semplicemente, nasce la nostra zine; un blog gratuito ricco di contenuti e soprattutto animato dal rispetto che nutriamo verso qualsiasi artista. Molti di noi ormai sono ultratrentenni e ascoltano Heavy Metal (ma non solo) da decenni, e la nostra passione è rimasta immutata.
Il nostro scopo non è, e non era quello di creare la solita webzine con i soliti spazi con news o altri articoli di dubbia utilità . Vogliamo solo recensire coloro i quali affidano i loro prodotti musicali a noi. Questo per noi è già l'obiettivo primario raggiunto, in quanto la richiesta del nostro parere implica che le bands abbiano capito il nostro spirito e attitudine oltre che competenza in materia, e tengono quindi al nostro umile giudizio. Questo infatti non è in alcun modo pilotato da accordi con labels o roba simile, noi scriviamo le cose per come le sentiamo/vediamo, punto.
L'invio di materiale è sempre ben accetto, ma in questi ultimi tempi è sempre più frequente la richiesta di recensioni da parte di bands e labels che ci scrivono, non mandandoci quasi mai un supporto fisico, che sarebbe cosa gradita, sia per quel che concerne il lavoro che dovremo poi svolgere sul disco (quindi artwork, musica, foto ecc. fanno un corpo unico e solo il supporto fisico può adempiere a questo scopo compiutamente), e sia come un minimo ringraziamento verso il nostro impegno, che è determinato dalla passione, non è remunerato e comunque consente di poter avere visibilità alle bands, a voi quindi. E' perciò sempre bello per noi avere il cd (o qualsiasi altri supporto: lp, tape), perchè oltre a poterci mettere nella giusta condizione di valutazione, ci consente di svolgere completamente il nostro lavoro ed è infine un gesto di rispetto verso di noi. In ogni caso, anche gli mp3 sono accettati, seppur completi di tutto, dato che sono sempre più in voga segnalazioni di link di myspace, facebook, bandcamp o altro da parte di bands per avere una recensione. Non pretendiamo sempre il supporto fisico, ma nemmeno di essere trattati in questa povera maniera, che oltretutto uccide la musica stessa, anche la vostra.
Ben consapevoli che la nostra è una piccola voce in un coro purtroppo molte volte non sincero e non troppo attento alle realtà più underground, andiamo avanti per la nostra strada e accogliamo tutte le bands trattandole allo stesso modo, e lo stesso discorso vale per le labels che collaborano e collaboreranno con noi. Ringraziamo quindi chi già ci segue e chi deciderà di affidarsi a noi in futuro, perchè una zine per andare avanti ha anche bisogno di ampliarsi. Heavy Metal Maniac Webzine born from the passion of some guys who, one fine day in 2007, creating a forum. From this "base" is slowly getting stronger the desire to expand his passion and preparation, and that's quite simply, is born our zine, a blog full of content and especially animated the respect we have towards any artist. Many of us are now over thirty and listen to heavy metal (but not only) for decades, and our passion has remained unchanged.
Our goal is not and was not to create the spaces with the usual usual webzine with news or other items of questionable utility. We just want to review those who entrust their music products to us. This for us has already reached the goal, as the demand of our opinion implies that the bands have got our spirit and attitude as well as expertise in, and then take our humble opinion. This fact is not in any way controlled by agreements with labels or anything, we write things like the feel / see.
The submission of material is always welcome, but in recent times, the demand formore frequent reviews by bands and labels who write to us, it almost never sending a physical medium, that it would be appreciated, both as respect the work that we would then play on the disc (artwork, music, photos, etc.. are one body, and only the physical media can fulfill this purpose completely), and as a minimum thanks to our commitment, which is determined by passion, however, is not paid and you can have visibility to the bands, to you then. And 'so's always nice for us to have the CD (or any other medium: lp, tape), as well as why we can get in the right conditionassessment, allows us to fully carry out our work and finally a gesture of respecttowards us . Well aware that ours is a small voice in a chorus, unfortunately, often not sincere and not too close to reality, more underground, we go our way and we welcome all the bands treating them the same way, and the same goes for labels that collaborate and cooperate with us. We thank those who have followed us and who will decide to trust us in the future, because a zine to go forward also needs to expand.
